my bags are packed and i am on my way to turkey and kazakhstan. will post more from there. i have thirty 12" square pieces of linen to take with me. one to stitch each day of the trip.

since this blog is about process, i wll write about my process yesterday as i played with the colors and shapes. i worked in my studio, cutting and pinning and moving things around. the design wall area is great, but it is lacking the natural light that i have come to rely on. so i moved into another room and tried working on the wall/closet door area there. then i moved to the floor. (don't we have beautiful hardwood floors!?) anyway, i was all over the place and maybe that is just my process. i finally decided to give my eyes a rest and look at the work freshly today.
