watercolors and sharpie...i love you!

two drawings today. one sophisticated and arty. one sweet and personal.

yay! daily drawing is back. today's work is inspired by/abstracted from the latch on a dog's leash:)

last week i sold this painting. it was hanging in a show at art house in portland maine. it is 12" square, oil on panel. i was hoping to keep it for myself. and now since i have a dog, it could have been a bit of a self portrait. maybe i will just have to paint another one.

another drawing from back in the day. i spent hours and hours on this one...still feel like i could do more work on it!

going through old stuff and cleaning out. this is an embroidered sample i did for a class a few years ago, using a rock wall as a reference. my teacher liked the back of the piece better than the front! i will take a picture of the back and post it.

today i saw a middle-aged woman operating a tow truck and another middle-aged woman operating a port-a-potty cleaning truck...so happy women are making inroads.
